The Ritual of Strength is back! This year East Ave. Barbell will be hosting the Rituals of Strength 2 as an officially sanctioned Strongman Corporation contest (Level 1). Winners of each open class will qualify for Strongman Corporation Nationals 2019.

Just like last year, 100% of profits will go directly to charity!

Strongman Corporation Membership is required of all contestants (can be purchased day of contest).

Rules and Weights

Log Clean and Press Away
Athlete has :60 to press log overhead for as many reps possible. Can use any technique (strict press, viper, push press, jerk, split jerk). Log must return to rack position (contact with shoulders) between reps. Multiple cleans are allowed. Athlete must wait for judges down command which is given when elbows, knees, and hips are locked out. Feet must be reasonably in line (must come together if log is split jerked). Hands can be on log before start commend is given.
Men will use 12” Titan log and women 10”.
Grip shirts allowed, chalk allowed.

Women: LWN 85, HWN 110, LW 120, MW 135, HW 150
Men: LWN 180, HWN 210, LW 210, MW 240, HW 265

13” Axle Wagon Wheel Deadlift
Athlete has :60 to complete as many reps as possible. Down commands given when knees and hips are locked out. Athlete must wait for up command before performing next reps (no touch and go/bouncing). No sumo. Hitching/ramping allowed. Athlete can have hands on bar/be strapped in before start command. Any type of strap allowed. No deadlift suits.

Women: LWN 205, HWN 225, LW 265, MW 285, HW 315
Men: LWN 420, HWN 450, LW 450, MW 525, HW 575

Last Person Standing Yoke Carry
Athlete will carry yoke 30’ course as many times as possible without dropping. Each athlete must take every weight. Entire yoke must cross line for it to count. Distance is taken when yoke is dropped on course.
Men have 50lb jumps.
Women’s first two jumps are 50lb and subsequent are 30lb. Example: 300, 350, 400, 430, etc.

Starting weights:
Women: LWN 200, HWN 250, LW 300, MW 350, HW 400
Men: LWN 400, HWN 450, LW 450, MW 550, HW 600

Max Distance Farmer’s Walks
Athlete will carry farmer’s handles as far as possible (no time limit, no dropping). Athlete must go around keg (placed 40’ apart). Distance to front of implement will be measured when implement is dropped.
Chalk and liquid chalk allowed. NO STRAPS, TACKY/TACKY TOWEL/TACKY SPRAY WILL BE ALLOWED

Women: LWN 95, HWN 115, LW 130, MW 145, HW 165
Men: Men: LWN 185, HWN 220, LW 220, MW 220, HW 275

Stone Load Series
Athlete will load 4 stones (lightest to heaviest/descending height) over yoke and to platform for the fastest time. Tacky allowed.
