Our 5th Annual Wreck the Halls! As always weights are subject to change and if competitors have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out. The Mystery Event will be posted in July once we have the set up ironed out but plan on something grip intensive.
Potential Sponsors and vendors also reach out to the email listed below.
Weigh ins will be at 2199 E. Henrietta Road Rochester NY 14623 5-7pm the night before and from 6:30am-8:30am the day of the contest. Rules meeting will be at 9:00 am sharp and the event will begin at 9:30.
Event Rules:
Last Man Standing Axle Clean and Press-
This event WILL BE NY state record eligible! This will be conducted in a rising bar format with 10 pound jumps for women and 20 pound jumps for men. As we approach the state record we will take smaller jumps but that will be at the judges discretion.
Competitors may jump in at any point in the event, but once they begin lifting they must take every attempt after that. If you miss then you are out, 30 seconds per attempt. Grip Shirts, wrist wraps, knee sleeves, 1 hard belt and one soft belt are allowed. Per USS rules Belt cleans are allowed for this event.
Head to Head Axle Deadlift-
Axle Deadlifts from the floor, 60 seconds for as many reps as possible. Up and down commands. Straps allowed, figure 8s strongly frowned upon but allowed. Suits, briefs, deadlift hooks, and tacky all not allowed.
Sants Sled Pull-
Competitors will start strapped into a truck pull harness and carry Santa's Sleigh loaded with 2 sandbags 40 feet and then carry the two sandbags back to the starting line with 60 seconds to complete the event. No distance will be measured for bag attempts, you either get the bag or you do not. Grip shirt and Chalk are allowed, no gloves or other grip aids.
Stone to Shoulder-
This will be done with a tiered point system similar to how the Arnold has run their stone to shoulder.
Stone to Lap with Control Shown- 1 point (1 point maximum possible for lapping the stone, we don't want to see people just lapping a stone 21 times to beat out someone who actually shouldered it)
Stone raised to chest with control shown- 2 points possible (maximum of 10 points from this)
Stone to Shoulder- 20 points
Athletes will only receive the points from the highest tired they achieved. Tacky and Grip Shirts are allowed.
